Coach / Owner

After having been in sports my entire childhood, I went on to run track at the University of Idaho and found Sport Science to be a natural fit for my degree.  I've been lucky enough to make my passion what I get to do on a daily bases; educate people on health and wellness.  I have spent the last 20 plus years in the fitness industry in personal training and group fitness.

What first caught my attention about Iron Tribe was the community within the gym and on a larger scale.  The ability to work with people locally to make them healthier and more fit is an amazing opportunity.  But the ability to give back on a larger scale with the organizations that we work with pushed it over the top for me.

Then what I found about the extensive training that the coaches go through, the way workouts are written and class is structured topped it off for me!  And I have personally found this to be a safe and effective way to workout!

Iron Tribe is different and I invite you to come in and meet me, my coaches and our athletes to find out why!

I was blessed to grow up in an active household. In high school I was on track and field and the basketball team. Participating in organized sports has continued since then. I play basketball, volleyball, and softball throughout the year. I recently started trail running, too. I’m not a long distance runner, so the 5k distance is more my speed. Spending time with my husband and family are important to me. I enjoy our get togethers and celebrations.

My journey into the fitness industry started in 2003. I had been working in the insurance industry for 12 years when I felt I needed to do something more with my life. I went back to school and received a fitness specialist degree. I realized I loved being a part of each client’s journey. Celebrating the highs and working through the lows.

After 10 years as a personal trainer, I again was struck with the feeling that there was something more for me. It was during this time I learned about Iron Tribe. It spoke to the “team player” in me, and I made the jump. To be a member of the Tribe is an amazing feeling. It’s one big, supportive, and encouraging family! I am excited for this journey, and look forward to sharing the journey with you.

Coach Earl Hatcher at Iron Tribe Redmond

EARL HATCHER

Manager/Lead Coach

Hello this is Earl Hatcher....
sidenote: This will not be your typical Bio....Let me start off by saying I am writing this bio in my Deep Rooted Alabama accent.....Orrville AL. to be exact.....now you know where this guy is from....
I attended Five Points Elementary School then finished at Keith High School....which doing these wonderful youthful years allowed me to do the following:

Play sports when the farm work was not calling my name( short and brief career), Marching Band which was better suited for farm life....I swear some of the band days practicing in the sun felt like Earl was actually working on the farm....

Now as we move forward to my next move in life....Uncle Sam was my escape from the farm...little did I know the farm was prepping me for The US Army....
From 1987 to 1994 I gave it a go...did some things great, then screwed up quite a bit...lesson learned; valuable lesson learned! Just like my Mother (She's the greatest) and my Grandparents (They don't make them like that anymore) taught me, "bought sense is the best sense."

I also had a a 19 month stretch in college...Electronics...found out quickly that my mind set and electricity were a dangerous combo....
Now Earl shall fast forward... After years of doing every type of workout or some form of contact training....Boxing....MMA...Kick Boxing....Tae Bo...Hiking... oh and don't forget Global Gym...Spinning...etc.etc.etc...

Nothing kept my attention!!
So...here goes the short version.....
After not knowing how to eat and following the SAM...Standard American Diet...Married and Divorced I found myself overweight....from 1987 to 2012 I had gained another Earl...I was a 2 in 1....blood pressure high...
So my Doc throws me right on meds and all the questions I asked from what I was eating to what type of workout I was doing...his answer was keep doing it it will work...but the meds are what you need....like a dummy a took his advice......
So I did what any Southern Lad would do...Prayed for a Life Saving intervention!!
Now to cut to the chase....I was in search of something to get me healthy and back moving....Google after Google two things popped up Iron Tribe Fitness and Crossfit..(Oh hell naw not those crazy military workouts again)....so honestly Crossfit did not have the time of day for me...sorry its the truth....I love and respect what they are doing...but for Earl it wasn't a match!!
Iron Tribe Fitness was my match.....the approach they took the programming and most Important the 101 Program.....whew...
Speed ahead to the here and now..
I'm down 70 pounds of fat....BP is no problem....I gave up a 18 year career Union Benefits and Over half a salary pay cut.....moved 2500 miles from my family (after a short stop in Louisville) just to help change lives and help someone get a little healthier live a little longer....went through ITF's Coaches Development Program twice to learn all I could and I continue to learn through our program as they put out more and more tools for coaching and managing....
Bottom line I Love People!
Thats my story and I am sticking to it....
